                                <p>Fox News hit another ratings home run last week, setting yearly audience highs in total day and in primetime as viewers tune in to the network’s ongoing coronavirus coverage, according to Nielsen.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="JtisWMVQnvuGGm38R86ANN" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JtisWMVQnvuGGm38R86ANN.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/JtisWMVQnvuGGm38R86ANN.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>Fox News averaged 4.2 million viewers for the week of March 23-29, besting second place MSNBC’s 2.3 million viewers and third place CNN’s 2.1 million watchers, said Nielsen. The win was Fox News’ 10th straight in the primetime ratings category.</p><p>HGTV was fourth with 1.2 million viewers, followed by TLC, Hallmark Channel, TBS and History with 1 million viewers each.</p><p>On the total day front, Fox News drew 2.6 million viewers to win the category for the 12 consecutive week. CNN and MSNBC both garnered more than 1.4 million viewers to finish second and third respectively. </p><p>Fox News was paced by its primetime shows <em>Hannity,</em> which notched its highest-rated week in total viewers since the program’s inception and its highest-rated in the demo since the 2017 Inauguration, and <em>Tucker Carlson Tonight</em>, which brought in a record 4.9 million viewers and 1 million in the demo for the show, said Nielsen. </p>

MSNBC, ESPN, Hallmark Channel and CNN followed closely behind, said Nielsen.</p><p>On the cable news front, Fox News bested both CNN and MSNBC in primetime and total day audience for the 215th straight month. Fox News’ average of 2.7 million total viewers in primetime was up 15% compared to November 2018, while CNN’s 999,000 viewers was down 11% and MSNBC’s 2 million viewers was up 12% compared to the same period in 2018, according to Nielsen.</p><p>Fox News also generated four out of the top five most watched cable news shows for the month led by <em>Hannity</em>, Nielsen said. </p>

The network was paced by its primetime lineup of <em>Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight</em> and <em>The Ingraham Angle,</em> which between the daily shows represented nine of the 10 most watched shows on cable last week, according to Nielsen.</p><p>HGTV finished third for the week with 1.3 million viewers, followed by A&E’s 1.1 million viewers and USA Network’s 1.0 watchers, said Nielsen. History (959,000), Hallmark Channel (926,000), TBS (911,000), Investigation Discovery (896,000) and TLC (892,000) filled out the top 10 most watched shows of the week.</p><p>Fox News also took top honors in the total day category for the 23rd consecutive week, besting in order MSNBC, HGTV, Investigation Discovery and Nickelodeon, according to Nielsen. </p>

MSNBC, Nickelodeon, HGTV and Investigation Discovery rounded out the top five, according to Nielsen. </p>

                                <figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="DXK2qB89Cb4goc6suiYdA7" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/DXK2qB89Cb4goc6suiYdA7.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/DXK2qB89Cb4goc6suiYdA7.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>Fox News Monday officially announced the Oct. 30 launch of its new primetime news program <em>The Ingraham Angle</em>, starring conservative talk personality Laura Ingraham.</p><p>The series will debut in the daily 10 p.m. timeslot on the network, moving the Sean Hannity-hosted series <em>Hannity</em> to the 9 p.m. slot, where it will go head to head with MSNBC’s top rated series <em>The Rachel Maddow Show</em>.<br/><br/>Fox News talk show series <em>The Five</em>, which currently airs at 9 p.m., will move back to its former 5 p.m. time slot, according to Fox.<br/><br/>The move comes nearly two weeks after Fox News cancelled its 5 p.m. show <em>The Fox News Specialists</em> after that show's host Eric Bolling parted ways with the network after sexual harrassment allegations surrounding Bolling surfaced. </p><p> “We are delighted to unveil this new primetime schedule for both our current and future generation of loyal FNC fans,” said Suzanne Scott, Fox news president of programming in a statement. “Over the last decade, Laura’s extraordinary insight, expertise and strong voice have connected with our viewers across the network’s programming. We look forward to her providing the audience with her exceptional commentary, engaging insight and spirited debate.”</p><p>According to Fox News, <em>The Ingraham Angle</em> will feature Ingraham as she challenges decision makers to focus on everyday, hard-working Americans as well as highlight the importance of faith in our nation and reveal stories that showcase the American spirit.<br/><br/>The announcement comes as Fox News remains among the most watched networks on cable television. The network was the highest rated network in primetime this past summer and has either held or shared the top spot on the <a href="https://www.nexttv.com/news/espn-weather-channel-challenge-fox-news-weekly-cable-ratings-supremacy-415263" data-original-url="https://www.multichannel.com/news/espn-weather-channel-challenge-fox-news-weekly-cable-ratings-supremacy-415263">weekly primetime cable ratings charts for the last 16 weeks</a>, according to Nielsen. </p>

Two cable new shows, Fox News’ <em>Hannity</em> and MSNBC’s <em>The Rachel Maddow Show</em>, were second and third on the daily TV social media list, respectively, according to Nielsen.</p>

USA Network was the most watched network among adults 18-49 for the week, while Adult Swim was the top choice in the demo on a 24-hour basis, reported Nielsen.</p><p>Fox News programming also dominated nine of the top 10 most watched shows for the week, according to Nielsen.</p>
