Bravo released a national study today by Research Now, determining if dating a best friend is worth the risk, which coincides with the debut of the new docu-series Friends to Lovers?

The study polled over 1,000 people from 18-54, and of the 76% who took the plunge, 29% of those relationships lead to marriage.

The study also revealed 42% of women would rather be celibate for the rest of their lives then get involved with their best friend. When the relationships fail, the poll showed 51% get their friendship back.

Friends to Lovers? premieres Jan. 12 at 10 p.m. and is produced by World of Wonder with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell and Angela Rae Berg as executive producers.

Bravo is set to debut a docu-series where best friends try dating for the first time, Friends to Lovers?, which will air Jan. 12 at 10 p.m., the network announced today.
