NEW YORK — Multichannel News and Broadcasting & Cable today announced keynote speakers for the Advanced Advertising conference, set for Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. The featured keynoters are Linda Yaccarino, chairman, advertising sales and client partnerships, NBCUniversal and Irwin Gotlieb, Global Chairman of GroupM.

Advanced Advertising is one of the cornerstone conferences taking place during 2015 New York City Television Week, which also includes the Hispanic Television Summit, The Content Show, the Next TV Summit & Expo and the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. Advanced Advertising is the premiere industry event, where leading industry influencers discuss the impact of data and automation on television’s key revenue stream.

Delivering the opening keynote, Yaccarino will discuss how advanced advertising is changing the video industry. During the closing keynote, Gotlieb will use his experience at GroupM and WPP to discuss if advertisers and media buyers will pay more for effective TV advertising.

Since joining NBCUniversal in 2011, Yaccarino has transformed the NBCUniversal advertising sales organization. Her groundbreaking “one portfolio” plan has amplified the enormous power and reach of the company’s broadcast, cable and digital assets.

As a result, under Yaccarino’s leadership, NBCUniversal was the only media company to record growth in volume and dollar value during the 2015 upfront, leading the marketplace for a second consecutive year. She was recognized in 2014 as one of Variety’s “Power of Women of New York,” was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Women in Entertainment: Power 100” and has received many other industry honors throughout her career.

In 1999, Irwin Gotlieb joined WPP as chairman and CEO of Mindshare Worldwide. When WPP established GroupM to serve as parent company to its media agencies, including Mindshare, MEC, Mediacom and Maxus, Gotlieb was named global CEO of GroupM. Prior to WPP, he was president and CEO of MediaVest Worldwide, a company he founded in December 1993. Gotlieb is a three-time Adweek/Mediaweek All Star, including a President’s Award in 1997, a double Advertising Age Media Maven honoree and was named to the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 2006. In February 2000, Advertising Age named Gotlieb the “Media Player of the Year,” the only time this award has been given.

To inquire about Advanced Advertising speaking opportunities, please contact Louis Hillelson at LHillelson@nbmedia.com.

For registration, please contact Rebecca Shottland at rshottland@nbmedia.com or (917) 281-4782.

For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Charlie Weiss at cweiss@nbmedia.com or (212) 378-0478.
