Atlantic Broadband, a unit of Canada-based Cogeco Communications, has hired Elizabeth Asencio to head of content acquisition.

In that role, Asencio will head up negotiations for content acquisition across all platforms, including linear and on-demand.

She joins a video services team led by Heather McCallion, Atlantic Broadband’s VP of video products.

Asencio has previously held exec roles at NBCUniversal, Starz, Disney and ESPN.

Atlantic Broadband serves about 246,000 video subscribers across five regions – western  Pennsylvania; Miami Beach; Maryland/Delaware; Aiken, S.C.; and eastern Connecticut.
