Docuseries Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All premieres on Disney Plus May 3. There are four episodes. 

“For the first time ever, global superstar, Ed Sheeran opens the doors to a definitive and searingly honest view into his private life as he explores the universal themes that inspire his music,” said Disney Plus. “This series follows Ed after he learns of life changing news and reveals his hardships and triumphs during the most challenging period of his life.”

All four episodes are available on premiere day. They have the titles “Love”, “Loss”, “Focus” and “Balance.”

Disney Plus continues, “In each episode, Ed faces themes and emotions that most people experience. Ed expresses his deeper thoughts as he reassesses life and explores what he thinks of the world, of himself and how this difficult time has influenced him and his new music.”

Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All  is produced by Fulwell 73 Productions. Ben Winston and Ben Turner are executive producers. David Soutar is director. 

After a screening in New York May 2, Gayle King, CBS Mornings anchor, moderated a panel featuring Sheeran and his creative team. 

Sheeran and Alanis Morissette will be guest judges on American Idol May 7.

Pop star Ed Sheeran will have a week-long residency on The Late Late Show with James Corden June 28 to July 1 on CBS. Sheeran will perform each night, and the week will feature what CBS calls “the television debut” of his new single, “Bad Habits,” which comes out on an album with the same name June 25. Sheeran will appear in-studio for an interview and in comedy segments on the show throughout the week. 

The English singer-songwriter, who is 30, has four Grammys. His albums include one called + and No. 6 Collaborations. 

The Late Late Show is on weeknights 12:37 to 1:37 a.m. ET/PT. Besides airing on CBS, The Late Late Show can be streamed live and on demand on the CBS app and on Paramount Plus. 

Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe executive produce the late-night program. Reggie Watts manages the band. 

Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran drew the lion’s share of MTV Video Music Awards nominations, the network announced Tuesday.

Beyoncé’s 7/11, Swift’s Bad Blood and Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud will vie for “Video of The Year,” one of several musical categories featured as part of the annual VMA telecast, which will air Aug. 30 on MTV.

The awards, hosted by Miley Cyrus, will also feature new categories such as “MTV Artist to Watch” presented by Taco Bell, and “Video with a Social Message.”

Voting is currently available at www.vma.mtv.com. The VMA’s will be sponsored by Clean and Clear, Covergirl, Orbit Gum, Pepsi, Samsung Galaxy, State Farm, Taco Bell, Trojan Brand Condoms and truth.
