ESPN has signed distributors across multiple platforms to distribute its new ACC Network regional sports service as it prepares for the network’s Aug. 22 launch.

Satellite provider DirecTV joins telco Verizon FiOS,  MVPD Altice and streaming services Hulu and Playstation Vue in carrying the service, which will provide sports content from such conference schools as Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Florida State, according to ESPN.

The deal comes on the heels of ESPN’s marketing push for the network. Under the tagline "We Do This," the multi-platform campaign launched earlier this week will run across ESPN’s owned and operated media including TV, digital, radio and social media, and will include insider nods to each of the fan bases, according to ESPN.

“As we developed this campaign, our goal internally has been to revel in the range of the ACC,” said Michelle Berry, Senior Director of Sports Marketing at ESPN in a statement. “We met that challenge by representing the uniqueness of the member schools while celebrating a dynamic conference that adds up to more than just the sum of its parts.”

As part of its coverage of Mike Krzyzewski's bid to win his 1000th college basketball game, Fox  Sports is assigning a special camera to Coach K on Sunday afternoon.

Fox Sports Go has lined up Coach K Cam, which will focus on Krzyzewski's full range of emotions, as his Blue Devils battle St. John's at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.  “Coach K Cam” is available free and unauthenticated to all users of  the Fox Sports Go app on Sunday afternoon.

Already the winningest coach in collegiate hoops history,  Coach K returns to the World Most Famous Arena, where he topped his mentor Bob Knight's previous mark in November of 2011.

Linear coverage begins on Fox at 1:30 PM (ET) with the Fox College HoopsTip-Off pregame show. Host Kevin Burkhardt is joined in the Los Angeles studio by analysts Ben Howland and Donny Marshall, as well as Marquette head coach Steve Wojciechowski, a former player and assistant under Krzyzewski at Duke. Sunday’s pregame also features a live presence at Madison Square Garden, plus, Duke icons like Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner, Chris Collins and J.J. Redick have taped messages to their former mentor.

Gus Johnson and Jim Jackson will call the game, which starts at 2 p.m., on Fox.

The roundball will be regal in Barclays Center tonight.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – aka Prince Phillip and Kate Middleton – will attend their first NBA game as The King, LeBron James, leads the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Brooklyn Nets.

The couple will be celebrating the Royal Foundation’s United for Wildlife and Coach Core programs and the league’s NBA Cares global social responsibility program. The partnership will raise awareness about the importance of international wildlife conservation, develop the next generation of conservation leaders, and grow the game of basketball. 

Former NBA star Dikembe Mutombo, Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder and two-time All-Star Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks have been named United for Wildlife Ambassadors.  They are joined by fellow ambassadors from the world of sports such as David Beckham, Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton and NBA legend Yao Ming, they will support United for Wildlife’s effort, led by the Duke of Cambridge, to rally the world’s leading wildlife charities around a common goal: to create a global movement for change and to preserve nature.

Additionally, the NBA will work with the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core program, an initiative that helps young people acquire the skills, experience and confidence to join the next generation of inspirational coaches.  The NBA will support Coach Core in developing young, motivated and talented new basketball coaches through coaching experience and logistical support.  As part of this cooperation, NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony will participate in a Coach Core graduation event on Jan. 14 while in London for NBA Global Games London 2015, when the New York Knicks will play the Milwaukee Bucks at the O2. 

The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry was set up by the princes in September 2009 to enable them to take forward their charitable ambitions. Along with The Duchess of Cambridge, who is also a patron, they intend to use the Foundation as the main vehicle for their philanthropic activities.
