Mediamorph, a provider of cloud-based rights management systems for programmers and video distributors, has inked a deal with Cinedigm, which will use Mediamorph’s platform to track the performance of how its content assets are distributed digitally around the world.

Cinedigm provides custom content systems for a range of digital platforms including iTunes, Netflix and Amazon, as well as for MVPDs such as Comcast, Dish Network and DirecTV, along with retailers that include Walmart and Target.

iStreamPlanet, the over-the-top video services company acquired by Turner Broadcasting, said it launched a new Atlas Digital Rights Management cloud service.

Atlas allows iStreamPlanet customers to deliver media to millions of users on multiple devices and provides content encoding and security.

“We listened carefully to our customers to ensure we prioritized the right features for their business needs, and we’re excited to bring more capabilities to the iStreamPlanet product portfolio with the launch of Atlas DRM,” said Tim Davis, VP of Product Management at iStreamPlanet.

Turner will be Atlas’ first client.

Nagra said its digital rights management platform, MediaAccess Persistent Rights Management, has been given the green light from the Digital Transmission Licensing Administrator (DTLA).

DTLA had previously approved Nagra’s DRM system for the storage of Digital Transmission Content Protection (DTCP) content. The latest stamp also clears the use of MediaAccess PRM for the retransmission/streaming of premium DTCP-IP-protected content over a home network.

Sling Media, maker of the video placeshifting technologies  such as the Slingbox 500 (pictured above) and in integrated devices such as Dish Network’s Hopper with Sling whole-home HD-DVR, is one of the adopters of Nagra’s DRM.

Earlier this month, Nagra announced that MediaAccess PRM was approved by the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE), the organization behind UltraViolet, the digital rights locker for electronic sell-through products.
