Concurrent Computer Corp., a supplier of video content delivery and analytics technologies, has appointed Derek Elder as CEO, succeeding Dan Mondor, who had served in that role since April 2008.

Elder most recently was SVP and general manager of the DOCSIS & multiservice gateway unit of Arris, the cable and telecom supplier that merged with Motorola Mobility last April. Elder, named to Multichannel News’ “Forty Under Forty” in 2009, is also late of Tropic Networks, Cisco Systems, and Narad Networks.

 “We are pleased to welcome Derek to Concurrent,” said Concurrent chairman Steve Nussrallah, in a statement. “He brings a wealth of industry experience as well as tremendous leadership experience to the role and we look forward to his focus on accelerating growth in our businesses.”

Elder received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland University College and a Master of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.

Nussrallah also expressed thanks to for his contributions over the past six years, including the introduction of new multi-screen software solutions, expanding Concurrent’s customer base, and achieving profitability over the last eleven consecutive quarter.

For the first quarter for fiscal 2015, ended September 30, Concurrent posted net income of $734,000 on revenues of $17.5 million, down from $17.2 million in the year-ago quarter.
