Dean Cain hosts Masters of Illusion: Christmas Magic 2022 on The CW December 14. The annual special features an array of magicians performing amid a holiday theme.

Cain’s credits include Supergirl, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and film The Black Hole, along with a bevy of holiday movies.

Cain is indeed a busy man this time of year. He also hosts The CW’s Christmas Around the USA, with Laura McKenzie and on December 15; The 25th Annual Family Film Awards, hosted by Cain and McKenzie, December 26; and documentary Ocean Emergency: Currents of Hope on December 27.

Masters of Illusion debuted on The CW in 2014 and is in season nine on the network. The show features magic performed by illusionists, escape artists and other performers, offering everything from interactive mind magic to comedy routines.

David McKenzie, Gay Blackstone, David Martin and Al Schwartz executive produce the show, and Cain hosts.

Associated Television International produced Masters of Illusion: Christmas Magic 2022, which also airs Friday, December 23. ■

Merry Ex-Mas star Dean Cain and Ion Television are set to partner up with Coalition for the Homeless, an advocacy and direct service organization, where 1,500 gourmet sandwich wraps will be donated through the Grand Central Food Program on Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m., the network announced today. 

There will also be a consumer-driven event to promote the network's upcoming slate of original holiday movies the same day, such as Merry Ex-Mas, A Christmas Mystery, A Christmas Kiss II, A Perfect Christmas List, Back to Christmas, and 18 originals. 

"New York City has reached a new record level of homelessness, which has stretched our resources to the breaking point,” said President & CEO, Coalition for the Homeless Mary Brosnahan in a release. “Thank you ION Television for donating these sandwiches and wraps – they’ll make a tremendous difference for our hungry neighbors relegated to sleep on the streets."

Ion will have a food truck with free breakfast, lunch and dessert wraps for 1,500 visitors at three separate locations in Manhattan.

The Food Truck Schedule is as Follows: 

8:00 - 9:45 AM ET: Broadway between West 58th St. and Columbus Circle 

10:45 AM ET - 1:00 PM ET: West 48th St. between 6th Ave. and 5th Ave.

2:00 - 4:00 PM ET: 5th Ave. between East 23rd St. and East 22nd St.

GSN has announced five new episodes for the Emmy-nominated series, The Chase, to air Tuesday, November 11th at 8 p.m.

The third season will feature a celebrity edition, including actors Dean Cain, Seamus Dever and Boris Kodjoe, who will attempt to defeat “The Beast," in efforts to win money for their respective charities.

Each actor will play for their chosen charity. Dean Cain will compete for the Gary Sinise Foundation, Dever for the Beagle Freedom Project and Kodjoe wil play for Sophie’s Voice Foundation.

GSN’s most popular series is hosted by Brooke Burns, with Mark Labbett as "The Beast," who is the major contender with contestants in the trivia challenge.
