TNT, along with producer M. Night Shyamalan, have placed a 10-episode order for its reboot of the classic horror anthology series Tales From The Crypt, the network said Thursday.

Tales From The Crypt, based on the original EC Comics story and the HBO series that ran from 1989 to 1996, will anchor the network’s weekly horror block of programming, said network officials. As part of the reboot, the network will reinvent the series’ skeleton-bound host the Crypt Keeper, said TNT.

As part of the horror block, the network has also ordered a pilot for Time Of Death, an anthology series from IM Global Television that follows a series of events that unfold in real time, and has begun development on the Naegle Ink-produced Creatures, described as “a story of deep friendship and dark obsession, where a vivid imagination meets the power of suggestion and the seduction of belief.”

The network initally announced the horror block this past January at the Television Critics Association tour.
