Sling Latino, the Dish Network-run OTT-TV Spanish-language service that was introduced in June, said it  has bolstered its movie offering with the introduction of Sony Pictures Television’s Cine Sony Television service.

Sling Latino is making the movie service available with its Paquete Total package, which runs $12 per month, or as part of its Best of Spanish TV and Películas & Novelas packages that are available for $5 per month as add-ons to Sling TV’s core $20 per month OTT-TV offering.

Dish does not break out how many subs take Sling Latino, which is offered on the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire tablets, Android TV-powered devices, Google’s Chromecast adapter, Roku players and Roku TVs, the Xbox One, Web browsers, and Android and iOS mobile devices.

Cine Sony Television, which also provides VOD content and an authenticated app called Cine Sony Ya through distribution partners, offers uncut Hollywood movies in Spanish.

“While other traditional pay-TV providers have abandoned their Latino-focused OTT services, Sling Latino will continue to expand our Spanish-language programming and develop a personalized TV viewing experience for our customers,” Roger Lynch, CEO of Sling TV, said in a statement that seemingly refers to DirecTV’s recent decision to shut down Yaveo, its Spanish-language OTT service that offers content from Cine Sony Television. “The addition of Cine Sony Television is a testament to our commitment of giving customers choice in their entertainment options.”
