Hip Hop artist Cardi B scored the most MTV Video Music Awards nominations in a very crowded field of contenders, according to network officials.

Cardi B garnered 10 VMA nods to top the eight nominations generated by The Carters (the husband-wife duo of Beyonce and Jay-Z) and seven recognitions for hip hop artists Childish Gambino and Drake, according to MTV.

The MTV VMA’s will air live Aug. 20 from Radio city Music Hall across MTV’s global network of channels.

“It has already been a monumental year in music, and this year’s VMAs will take things to a whole new level,” said Bruce Gillmer, Head of Music and Music Talent, Global Entertainment Group for Viacom in a statement. “The extraordinary group of nominees have amazed us with their talent and inspired us with their creativity – and when you get them together for one night, anything is possible.”

FX will bring back its critically-acclaimed comedy series Atlanta back for a third season, the network said Thursday.

The Emmy Award-winning series, created by and starring Donald Glover, will return to the network in 2019. Atlanta is produced by FX Productions and is executive produced by Glover, Paul Simms, Dianne McGuingle, Stephen Glover and Hiro Murai.

“Atlanta is phenomenal, achieving and exceeding what few television series have done,” said FX Networks and FX Productions co-president Nick Grad in a statement. “With Atlanta Robbin’ Season, Donald and his collaborators elevated the series to even greater heights, building on the enormous success of their award-winning first season.
