Comedian Bob Saget has died in an Orlando, Florida, hotel room, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,“ the sheriff's office tweeted in a statement.

Saget, 65, was best known for his co-starring role in the wholesome family sitcom Full House, but also for his blue stand-up material. He was on the Florida swing of his most recent stand-up tour. Saget tweeted December 8: ”Loving beyond words being on tour — And doing an all-new show of standup and music.“ 

In an interview earlier this week on WJXT Jacksonville, where he was headed after Orlando, Saget said he was not talking politics or religion on this tour, adding: ”I Just want to make people laugh.”

Full House aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995, with Saget playing Danny Tanner, reprising the role for Netflix's Fuller House. Saget was also the first host of ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos.

Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner, eldest daughter of Saget’s character, tweeted: ”I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.“

"My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave," tweeted Full House co-star Dave Coulier. 

”I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him,“ Tweeted Full House co-star John Stamos. “I love you so much Bobby.”

“Warner Bros. Television mourns the tragic loss of our dear friend Bob Saget,” the company, which distributed the show, said in a statement. ”Bob was a father figure to many worldwide in his role as Danny Tanner on Full House. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and fans.“

On CNN's The Lead with Jake Tapper Monday (Jan. 10), the host said Saget's mother and his mother worked together at a Philadelphia hospital for years and he had to keep hearing how "Dolly's boy Bob" was going to be such a big success, which Tapper said turned out to be the case. ■

 Hallmark Channel received an early ratings gift in November, setting an all time viewership record on the strength of its holiday-themed films. 

Hallmark averaged a network best 1.21 million total viewers during the period of Oct. 30 to Nov. 26, according to Nielsen. The network’s annual Countdown to Christmas slate of original movies helped pace the network’s strong performance – through Sunday, Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas programming has reached nearly 50 million unduplicated viewers, network executives said.

The performance of the network’s 12 holiday films thus far is led by the Nov. 26 airing of the Candace Cameron-Bure starrer Switched For Christmas, which drew 5.2 million viewers – the second most-watched telecast in network history, according to a Hallmark spokeperson.
