The return of several popular series mark the list of show premieres this week.

Apple TV Plus's Emmy-winning drama series The Morning Show premieres its second season on Sept. 17, along with the third season of Netflix’s dramedy series Sex Education.

Among the new shows debuting this week are Showtime’s Sept. 13 premiere of comedy series Back to Life, starring Daisy Haggard as an inmate returning to regular life, and Hulu's anthology drama series The Premise, debuting Sept. 16.

Showtime has set a Sept. 13 date for the return of its original comedy series Back to Life, the network said Monday.

The sophomore season of the series, which stars Daisy Haggard, follows the exploits of Miri Matteson (Haggard) who, after 18 years behind bars, returns home and stumbles back into adult life in the coastal town she once knew. According to Showtime, season two picks up three weeks after the season one finale and six weeks after Miri is released from jail, said network officials.

Back to Life is executive produced by Haggard, Laura Solon, Sarah Hammond, Chris Sweeney, Harry and Jack Williams and Tanya Qureshi.

HBO's fantasy series His Dark Materials and the return of Showtime's Shameless highlight  shows making their debuts during the week of Nov. 4. 

His Dark Materials, debuting Nov. 4, is based on the novel series of the same name by Phillip Pullman and follows a young woman from another world who --on a quest to find her kidnapped friend -- encounters extraordinary beings and dangerous secrets, according to HBO.

Also this week, Showtime's Emmy-winning comedy series Shameless, starring William H. Macy, will mark its 10th season premiere on Nov. 10.
