Premium channel Epix has launched on AT&T Now, the recently rebranded virtual MVPD formerly known as DirecTV Now.

The launch follows AT&T’s broader deal with the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer-owned network, which already launched on AT&T’s DirecTV linear satellite platform back on May 19.

AT&T Now finished the second quarter with 1.34 million subscribers, down by almost a third since peaking at around 1.8 million customers a year ago.

Distribution across AT&T’s pay TV platforms will bolster Epix, which reportedly had around 15 million subscribers when it finally launched a direct-to-consumer streaming adjunct back in February.

Like virtually all premium channels these days, Epix is mixing in theatrical movies with original shows. Notably, Epix just premiered the Bruno Heller-produced thriller Pennyworth on July 28

“It’s an incredibly exciting moment for the network as we continue to expand our distribution footprint and bring our superior customer experience and quality programming to new audiences,” said Epix president Michael Wright, in a statement.
