Disney Plus Teases 'Enchantment' Sequel Debuting in November

Disney Plus will stream the sequel to its musical comedy Enchanted beginning November 24, the streaming services announced Friday at its D23 Expo 2022 event.

Disenchanted takes place 15 years after the Enchanted film and finds main characters Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) married and looking for a more fairy tale life in the suburbs, said Disney Plus.

Along with Adams and Dempsey, Idina Menzel, James Marsden reprise their roles from the original movie, with Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays joining the cast.

Disenchanted is executive produced by Adams, Barry Josephson, Barry Sonnenfeld, Jo Burn, Sunil Perkash and Adam Shankman.

The three-day D23 Expo in California will feature panels, video previews and exhibits revolving around new and existing Disney-produced content.■

Golden Globes Announces Adams, Gervais as Presenters

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its first wave of presenters for the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards that will air on NBC on Sunday night.

Amy Adams, nominated for best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy, and Ricky Gervais, up for best actor in a TV series, musical or comedy, will be on stage in presenting roles -- and perhaps to claim their Globes.

Mom star Anna Faris, Houdini's Adrien Brody and Parks & Recreation's Chris Pratt are among the crew that also encompasses, at this point , Robert Downey Jr., Kevin Hart, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Channing Tatum, Lily Tomlin, Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Others will likely be announced ahead of the Jan. 11 ceremony, which will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the third year in a row . The show is produced by dick clark productions.
