Richard Goodall has been named the winner of season 19 of America’s Got Talent. Known as the singing janitor, he took home the $1 million grand prize. 

Goodall sang Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” for his audition and won a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum. He performed Michael Bolton’s“How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” in the qualifiers round and Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” in the semifinals. 

Goodall, who is from Terre Haute, Indiana, went back to the Journey oeuvre for his final performance, singing “Faithfully.”

Members of Journey performed with him in the finale results show at Pasadena Civic Auditorium September 24.

Goodall is a janitor at a middle school, and performs at times for the students. He also sings in church and with a band. 

“Winning AGT is important and means so much to me,” Goodall said. “Simon [Cowell] said two minutes can change your life. It has transformed mine, and I’d like to help others, one song at a time.” 

Cowell, Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara are the AGT judges, and Terry Crews hosts. 

Klum said to Goodall on the show, “I have faithfully been your biggest fan since the very first moment we met." Mandel commented, “I think you just sang yourself $1 million.” Said Cowell, “We all need a hero right now, and you are our hero.” 

The season finale featured the top 10 finalists performing alongside Simone Biles & the Gold Over America Tour, entertainer Michael Bublé, guitarist Neal Schon and members of Journey, DJ and producer Steve Aoki, comedian Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias, the cast of “Magic Mike Live,” singer-songwriter Andra Day and AGT fan favorite Detroit Youth Choir. 

America’s Got Talent was created by Cowell and is co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. Cowell, Sam Donnelly and Jason Raff are the executive producers.  

It airs on NBC.

America’s Got Talent heads into live shows on NBC starting Tuesday, August 13, and 44 acts will perform for judges for the four quarterfinal rounds that kick off the live shows. The action happens at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and the judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara. 

In each quarterfinal, one judge will be allotted a Golden Buzzer for the night. The new Live Show Golden Buzzer sends a contestant straight to the finals. 

Eleven acts will take the stage in each quarterfinal. In the semifinal round, 12 acts will compete and the six that receive the most votes from the viewers will join the four Live Show Golden Buzzers in the two-night finale, which begins September 17 and ends September 24. The winner takes home $1 million. 

Season 19 began May 28.

Season 19 of America’s Got Talent is on NBC starting May 28. The new season features more Golden Buzzers, which send a standout act directly to the live shows. 

Live shows happen at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium starting August 13. 

Last season featured five total Golden Buzzers–one apiece for judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara, and one for the host, Terry Crews. This year sees the judges with two apiece, and one for Crews, for a total of nine. 

The season also features the youngest contestant in AGT history, a 2-year-old math wiz who goes by the name Baby Dev. Other contestants include ballerinas, comedians, magicians, musicians and dance groups. 

“We’re seeing things, genuinely, I’ve never seen in my life,” said Cowell in the trailer.

Cowell, Klum, Mandel and Vergara return as judges. Crews is back as host. 

Cowell is an executive producer. 

The dog act of Adrian Stoica and Hurricane won season 18, beating out magician Anna DeGuzman.

NBC has shared its summer schedule, which includes new seasons of summer staples America’s Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior, and the Olympics in Paris. 

Weakest Link will air new episodes starting Tuesday, April 2, and the game show, imported from the U.K., moves to Mondays as of May 20. Jane Lynch hosts. 

American Ninja Warrior will air two specials in May. The women’s championship takes place on May 12 and the couples championship on May 27. Season 16 of the competition series starts June 3. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila host Ninja Warrior and Zuri Hall is co-host. 

America’s Got Talent begins May 28, with Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara the judges, and Terry Crews the host. It is season 19. 

Live AGT episodes begin August 13 from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. At season end, the winner gets $1 million. 

Game show Password, hosted by Keke Palmer and Jimmy Fallon, is on after AGT. The season began March 12. Celeb guests this season include Lauren Graham, Howie Mandel, Wiz Khalifa and Joel McHale. 

The Wall continues season five July 1. Chris Hardwick hosts. Lebron James and Maverick Carter produce the game show, which NBC says puts “more than $12 million on the line each night.” Contestants will include a baseball coach who saved the life of his player by donating his kidney and a person who was exonerated from a wrongfully convicted crime and now runs a nonprofit helping those impacted by incarceration. 

All shows stream on Peacock a day after they air on NBC. 

The Paris Summer Olympics take place July 26 to August 11. NBC will offer at least nine hours of daily coverage and Peacock will stream all 329 medal events. 

NBC has shared the 40 acts that will compete in America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League, which premieres January 1 on NBC. The America’s Got Talent spinoff brings together winners, finalists and fan favorites from the show, and its franchises around the world. 

Like fantasy sports, the judges each choose a roster of their 10 favorite acts, and compete against one another. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B are the judges and Terry Crews is host.

The winning act gets $250,000.

An animal act has won season 18 of America’s Got Talent, as Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane were the top vote getters. They won $1 million and join the America’s Got Talent Presents Superstars Live stage show at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. 

The first audition for Stoica and Hurricane got a standing ovation from the judges. 

After their performance in the season finale September 27, judge Simon Cowell said, “What we saw is incredible … (Hurricane) is a star.”

Stoica comes from Italy and is a dog trainer. He holds a half dozen Disc Dog World Championship titles. He made it to the Italia’s Got Talent semifinals in 2017 and was on Romania’s Got Talent in 2018 and 2022. 

Stoica and Hurricane are not the first dog act to win AGT, with the Olate Dogs winning season seven. 

The season 18 finale went down at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in southern California. The finale featured the top 11 finalists performing alongside guests, including chef and TV star Cat Cora, songwriter Diane Warren and singer Jason Derulo.

Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum are the judges on AGT and Terry Crews is the host.  

NBC held the season finale back a couple weeks to bolster its fall schedule, with new shows hard to come by amidst the writers’ and actors’ strikes. 

Dance group the Mayyas won season 17.  

Season 19 is on NBC next summer and AGT: Fantasy League debuts next year.

NBC introduces a new America’s Got Talent offshoot when AGT: Fantasy League debuts in 2024. The show will see the judges each choose a roster of their favorite acts from America’s Got Talent and Got Talent franchises around the world, adding winners, finalists and fan favorites. With ten acts on each judge’s roster, the judges will then compete alongside the contestants, mentoring the acts through the competition with the hopes of one of their acts being named champion. 

Former Spice Girl Mel B returns to the judges’ desk, alongside Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. Sofia Vergara is a judge on America’s Got Talent, but will not be on AGT: Fantasy League. 

Terry Crews is the host. 

After the America’s Got Talent season finale September 27, viewers can suggest acts they want to see in AGT: Fantasy League, nominating them via the AGT app. 

The Golden Buzzer will send acts straight to the finals. Each judge can use their Golden Buzzer for their own act or to steal an act from another judges’ team.  

The audience will vote each week to determine which acts advance to the finals. 

America’s Got Talent premiered in 2006 and Got Talent shows air in 194 territories worldwide.

May 30 features a competition series staple season premiering on NBC, and a new entry to the category starting up as well. Season 18 of America’s Got Talent debuts that day, as does Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge. Simon Cowell, also an executive producer, is a judge on America’s Got Talent along with Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara. 

Terry Crews is the AGT host. 

Starting Tuesday, August 22, AGT will have six weeks of live shows at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Results shows will air on Wednesdays.

Cowell created the show, and executive produces with Sam Donnelly and Jason Raff. AGT is co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. 

Hot Wheels features car lovers and superfans of Hot Wheels, who turn a nostalgic car from their past into a life-sized Hot Wheels car “of their dreams,” according to NBC. 

Each episode sees two superfans enter the Chrome Zone, where they face off in transforming an ordinary vehicle into an extraordinary Hot Wheels car that’s inspired by personal stories and pop culture. 

A team of designers known as The Car Pool helps the contestants bring their dream cars to life. 

Some contestants are gearheads. Most are not. “They don’t have to have spent their entire life tinkering in the garage to participate in the show or enjoy the show,” said executive producer DJ Nurre, also an exec producer on Fox competition series Lego Masters. 

Rutledge Wood hosts Hot Wheels. Wood covered NASCAR for Speed TV and NBC Sports, and reported from the Olympics in 2016, 2018 and 2021. He has hosted game show Floor Is Lava and American BBQ Showdown on Netflix and Southern and Hungry on Cooking Channel. He was also a host on Top Gear USA for BBC and History Channel.  

Nurre described Rutledge as “the biggest kid on the set. He did not lose his enthusiasm even for one second.”

Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge is developed and produced by Endemol Shine North America in association with Workerbee under license from Mattel Inc. Executive producers are showrunner Tim Warren, along with Andy Thomas, Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Michael Heyerman from Endemol Shine North America; Rick Murray and Chris Hale from Workerbee; and Fred Soulie and Phil Breman from Mattel Television.

AGT is on 8-10 p.m. and Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge is on 10-11 p.m.

The first edition of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars has concluded, and a champion has emerged. Aidan Bryant, an aerialist who came in second on season 16 of America’s Got Talent in 2021, won the grand prize February 27. 

Bryant is 18. He appears in the America’s Got Talent Presents Superstars Live stage show at Luxor in Las Vegas. 

“Though self-taught and having begun aerial just a few years ago, he has honed his craft over the past two years and developed a newfound confidence that was reflected in his performances on the “All-Stars” stage,” said NBC. 

All-Stars brings together standout performers from America’s Got Talent and the many Got Talent franchises around the world. 

The show’s 11 finalists performed their acts February 27 for judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum, and host Terry Crews. Guest performers included musicians Weezer, Babyface, Adam Lambert, Lindsey Stirling, AGT winner and ventriloquist Terry Fator, AGT winner and magician Mat Franco, and choir group Voices of Hope. 

America’s Got Talent has had 17 seasons on NBC, airing in the summer. Spinoffs include America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, AGT: Extreme in 2022 and All-Stars in 2023.

• The Little League Baseball World Series increased its watch-time to 1.36% (No. 2 overall) in its second week of action across ESPN, ABC and ESPN2.

• CBS gained ground by minutes watched, going from 5.80% to 6.14%, courtesy of NFL preseason action (among other programming).

As the field narrows for the Little League World Series, the event jumps from No. 6 to No. 1 by TV ad impressions week-over-week. Nearly 48% of those appeared on ABC, while the rest were split between ESPN (primarily) and ESPN2.

• Sports accounts for six of the top 10 spots in our ranking this week. Beyond the Little League World Series, the NFL (No. 2), SportsCenter (No. 5), college football (No. 6), MLB (No. 7) and PGA Tour Championship (No. 9) also appear.
• Two of the biggest risers in recent months have been Morning Joe (MSNBC) and Jesse Watters Primetime (Fox News), which have both gradually climbed the ad-impressions rankings after beginning the summer outside the top 25.
• America’s Got Talent qualifier rounds continue to deliver TV ad impressions, as the competition show grows modestly from 1.29% to 1.31% of impressions week-over-week.

Fox News stays in the top spot in our TV-ad-impressions-by-network ranking for the ninth consecutive week. The network delivered 13.90% of impressions, down from 14.72% the previous week.

• ABC hops up one spot from No. 3 to No. 2 week-over-week, thanks in part to Little League World Series action (nearly 11% of TV ad impressions on the network during the timeframe).
• Both Telemundo and Univision delivered a higher share of TV ad impressions week-over-week, as Telemundo in particular is paced by Top Chef VIP (almost 26% of impressions).
• HGTV grew its share of TV ad impressions from 1.16% to 1.47% week-over-week, with new episodes of Help! I Wrecked My House leading the way (about one in seven impressions for the network).

With preseason action now in full swing, the National Football League sprints to the top of our watch-time ranking. From August 8-14, the NFL scored 2.24% of minutes watched, up from 0.55% the previous week when there was only one game.

• In the lead-up to the annual Little League World Series, Little League baseball picked up 1.30% of watch-time while appearing on ESPN and ESPN2.
• Aligning with the FBI’s search of former President Trump’s residence, minutes-watched climbed week-over-week for Tucker Carlson Tonight (from No. 26 to No. 22) and Hannity (from No. 29 to No. 24).
• The FedEx St. Jude Championship, which was decided by a playoff on Sunday, propelled the PGA Tour from No. 17 to No. 8 by watch-time week-over-week.
• Chicago Fire syndicated airings jump from No. 32 to No. 14 week-over-week, barely trailing Chicago P.D. by watch-time.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent, now in its 17th season, is No. 1, while another NBC series, new dance competition Dancing with Myself, takes fifth place.

Alongside NBC in second is fellow traditional broadcaster ABC, hyping the 2022 NBA Finals.

NBC has shared its summer schedule, with warm-weather staple America’s Got Talent premiering May 31, and leading into new competition series Dancing With Myself. American Ninja Warrior begins June 6. Docuseries Who Do You Think You Are? debuts July 10. 

It will be season 17 for America’s Got Talent. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara are the judges and Terry Crews hosts. 

Six weeks of live AGT shows start August 9, with the Pasadena Civic Auditorium hosting.

Dancing with Myself will see a group of everyday people compete each week in a series of high-energy dance challenges designed and demonstrated by show creators Shakira, Nick Jonas, Liza Koshy and host Camille Kostek. 

“Isolated in their own pods, contestants have a short time to learn the new routines, add their unique flair and then perform their hearts out in front of a live studio audience,” said NBC. 

It will be season 14 of American Ninja Warrior. Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Zuri Hall host. 

Who Do You Think You Are? comes from executive producers Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky. Each week a celebrity guest will go on a search to trace their family tree with the help of genealogists, historians and experts, unlocking mysteries and “unbelievable” real-life stories, according to NBC. The guests include Allison Janney, Zachary Levi, Nick Offerman, Billy Porter, Zachary Quinto and Bradley Whitford.

The show was previously on NBC 2010-2012.  

All NBC programs will stream on Peacock the day after their linear premiere. ■

Season 16 of America’s Got Talent wraps on NBC Sept. 15, as 10 finalists compete for the $1 million prize. The contestants are aerialist Aidan Bryant, singers Brooke Simpson, Jimmie Herrod and Victory Brinker, magician Dustin Tavella, comedians Gina Brillon and  Josh Blue, quick-change artist Lea Kyle, Northwell Health Nurse Choir, and World Taekwondo Demonstration Team.

The season began June 1. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara are the judges, and Terry Crews is host. 

The winner will be named at the end of a two-hour finale Wednesday, which begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Performers include Idina Menzel, Pentatonix, Bishop Briggs, George Lopez, Rico Rodriguez, Mat Franco and Jordan Chiles. 

The winner will join “America’s Got Talent Las Vegas Live” at Luxor Hotel and Casino opening this fall.

Season 16 of America’s Got Talent premieres on NBC June 1. Executive producer Simon Cowell returns to the judging panel after being sidelined with a broken back last summer. He joins Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara.

Cowell created America’s Got Talent, which is produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. Exec producing alongside Cowell are Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff and Richard Wallace.

Next season, NBC will air AGT: Extreme in the mid season. NBC called it a “high-octane, stunt-filled spinoff.”

Spoken-word poet Brandon Leake won last summer’s AGT. Guest judges subbing in for the injured Cowell included Kelly Clarkson and Kenan Thompson.

This is a quick snapshot of TV by the numbers for the week of Sept. 21-27, revealing the most-watched shows and networks using glass-level data from Inscape, and the top shows and networks by TV ad impressions with insights via iSpot.tv.

Most-Watched Shows and Networks 

Via Inscape, the TV data company with insights from a panel of more than 16 million active and opted-in smart TVs. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching).

Looking at shows, of all the minutes watched by smart TVs that Inscape measured in all dayparts, 7.29% of the time was spent on NFL games. This time, Fox captured the largest percent share duration of NFL games (2.37%), followed by NBC (2.05%) and ABC (1.46%). The NBA moved up from third to second place this time around with 1.92% share duration. Notably, the season finale of America’s Got Talent made the ranking at No. 17 and The First 48 on A&E took No. 18.

On the network side of things, NBC maintained its hold on first place with a 7.65% share duration, a drop from last week’s 8.59%. ABC and Fox both moved up, taking second and third places, respectively, while Fox News remained at No. 4 (6.53%) and CBS took fifth (5.85%). Hallmark Channel, Investigation Discovery and Food Network continued to hold firm on their middle spots in the ranking.

Of the top 15 programs, only one was not sports or news-related: The Young and the Restless (343.4 million impressions). With four of the Stanley Cup final games occurring during the period measured, NHL rose in the ranking, up 25.84% compared to the previous week, with 482 million impressions.

Propelled by football — mainly NFL but some college games, too — ABC jumped up the ranking into first place this time with nearly 5.4 billion TV ad impressions. NBC barely surpassed Fox News, with 5.08 billion impressions vs. 5.06 billion. Thanks primarily to football, baseball and The Masked Singer, Fox saw a 219.75% week-over-week increase, snagging fourth place with 4.6 billion impressions, while CBS was just behind (4.3 billion impressions).

Kenan Thompson will be a guest judge on America’s Got Talent Aug. 18-19, filling in for Simon Cowell, who is injured. Kelly Clarkson filled in last week. Cowell, who is also an executive producer on the show, sustained a broken back in an electric bike accident August 8. 

Thompson joins Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara as a judge. He joined Saturday Night Live in 2003 and is the star of upcoming NBC comedy The Kenan Show. 

Terry Crews is the host of America’s Got Talent.

The talent program goes for two hours Aug. 18 and one hour Aug. 19. 

America’s Got Talent is averaging a 1.6 rating in viewers 18-49 this summer, according to NBC, with 10.3 million overall viewers in “live plus seven day” Nielsens.

Kelly Clarkson will be a guest judge on America’s Got Talent Aug. 11 and 12 on NBC, filling in for Simon Cowell, who is injured. Cowell sustained a broken back in an accident on his electric bike at home in Malibu Aug. 8. 

“My friend, Simon Cowell, is doing better now but was in an accident and won’t be able to make Tuesday and Wednesday’s live shows for AGT, but no worries America, someone far wiser, cooler, and hotter is taking his seat! The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson. You’re welcome in advance!,” Clarkson said.

Clarkson joins Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara on the judges’ table. Terry Crews hosts America’s Got Talent. 

Clarkson hosts The Kelly Clarkson Show and is a coach on NBC’s The Voice. 

NBC had the winning score in Tuesday prime, with America’s Got Talent pacing the network to an easy victory. NBC got a 0.8 in viewers 18-49, per the Nielsen overnights, and a 5 share. 

America’s Got Talent was a repeat celebrating the 15th anniversary of the hit summer show. It did a 0.8 across two hours, down from last week’s 0.9 and 1.0. World of Dance got a level 0.7. 

CBS and Univision both scored a 0.4/3. CBS had drama reruns before the special John Lewis: Celebrating a Hero, which did a 0.3. 

Univision had La Rosa de Guadalupe, Medicos and Como Tu No Hay 2 all at 0.4. La Rosa went up two tenths of a point and Medicos and Como Tu were flat. 

ABC, Fox and Telemundo each rated a 0.3/2. ABC had comedy reruns before What Would You Do? fell 40% to 0.3.

On Telemundo it was Exatlon Estados Unidos and Cennet at 0.3 and Enemigo Intimo 2 at its usual 0.2. Exatlon lost a tenth and Cennet was flat. 

The CW got a 0.1/1. DC’s Stargirl got a 0.2 and Tell Me a Story a 0.1, both flat. 

NBC won Tuesday ratings by a mile, with America’s Got Talent setting the pace. NBC posted a 0.9 in viewers 18-49, per the Nielsen overnights, and a 6 share. That topped the 0.5/3s put up by ABC and Univision. 

America’s Got Talent did a 0.9 and a 1.0 across two hours, down a bit from 1.1 and 1.2 with its last fresh episode. World of Dance scored a flat 0.7. 

ABC had 20/20 at 0.5 and 0.6 across two hours. What Would You Do? shot up 67% to 0.5. 

On Univision it was Te Doy La Vida up 20% to 0.6 and Medicos at 0.4, then Como Tu No Hay 2 at 0.4. The latter two were level with last week. 

CBS got a 0.4/3 with repeated dramas. 

Telemundo rated a 0.3/2 with Exatlon Estados Unidos up 33% to 0.4, Cennet at 0.3 and Enemigo Intimo 2 at 0.2, the latter two flat. 

Fox posted a 0.2/1 with reruns. 

The CW scored a 0.1/1. DC’s Stargirl gained a tenth for a 0.2 and the premiere of Tell Me a Story got a 0.1.

CBS had drama repeats. 

On Univision it was Te Doy La Vida up 25% to 0.5 and the premiere of Medicos at 0.4, then Como To No Hay 2 at a flat 0.5. 

ABC posted a 0.4/3. 20/20 did a 0.4 across two hours and What Would You Do? got a flat 0.4. 

Fox and Telemundo both scored a 0.3/2. Fox had repeats. 

Telemundo had Cennet and 100 Dias Para Enamorarnos at 0.3, and Enemigo Intimo 2 at 0.2. All three were level with last week. 

The CW rated a 0.1/1. DC’s Stargirl tallied a flat 0.2 and a comedy special from Alice Wetterlund got a 0.1.

World of Dance followed AGT on NBC staying the same at a 0.8. 

Univision's programming stayed relatively the same. Te Doy La Vida was up a tick from last week at a 0.5. Amor Eterno was down a bit from last week at a 0.5. Como Tu No Hay Dos stayed the same at a 0.4.

CBS and Fox tied the night at a 0.4/3. CBS had repeats of NCIS and FBI. Fox had Gordon Ramsey's 24 Hours To Hell and Back which stayed the same at a 0.4.

ABC and Telemundo also tied with a 0.3/2. ABC had repeats of Modern Family, black-ish and Mixed-ish leading up to the season finale of The Genetic Detective which rated a 0.3. Telemundo's programming stayed the same across prime. Cennet was up a tick at a 0.3.

The CW ranked a 0.1. DC's Stargirl stayed the same at a 0.2 followed by a repeat of Barry Brewer: Chicago, I'm Home.

Univision had Te Doy La Vida down 20% to 0.4, Amor Eterno at a level 0.6 and Como Tu No Hay 2 off 20% for a 0.4.

CBS and Fox got 0.4/3s. Both networks had repeats across prime. 

ABC and Telemundo rated 0.3/2s. ABC had repeats and then The Genetic Detective, which dropped 25% to 0.3.

Telemundo had Cennet, 100 Dias Para Enamorarnos and Enemigo Intimo 2 all at 0.3. All three were flat. 

The CW got a 0.1/1. DC’s Stargirl did a flat 0.2 and a Louie Anderson comedy special a 0.1. 

America’s Got Talent returns to NBC May 26, with Sofia Vergara joining the judges’ panel. Heidi Klum is back to judge after departing in 2018. Vergara and Klum join Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel as judges on the talent show. 

Cowell created America’s Got Talent and is an executive producer. Terry Crews hosts the program, which enters season 15. 

Vergara starred in Modern Family as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett. A native of Colombia, her films include Hot Pursuit and Wild Card.

Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were judges last season.

America’s Got Talent is on 8 to 10 p.m. and features the first round of auditions. Cowell said America’s Got Talent provides a welcome respite from the misery many are facing amidst the pandemic. ““This show represents the best in perseverance, creativity and optimism,” he said last month. “At a time when families are unable to go out we really hope the new season will bring some much-needed joy and escape.”

America’s Got Talent is co-produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment. Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers.

World of Dance also debuts May 26 on NBC. It will be season four. Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and NE-YO are the judges and Scott Evans returns as host.

TBS & TNT's live simulcast of the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was the most social television show last week, according to Nielsen. 

The awards show drew 1.7 million Facebook, Instagram and Twitter interactions, topping all television shows for the week of Jan. 21-27, according to Nielsen’s social content ratings report.

USA Network’s WWE Monday Night Raw was second with 1.2 million social media interactions, followed by Fox broadcasting’s Rent, NBC’s America’s Got Talent and NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

USA’s WWE Smackdown!, the CW’s Riverdale, NBC’s This Is Us, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Univision’s Mira quien baila All Stars rounded out the top 10, according to Nielsen. 

The WWE’s two primetime franchises WWE Monday Night Raw and WWE SmackDown! pinned down the most social media interactions of any television shows last week, according to Nielsen.

The pro wrestling outfit’s Jan. 14 WWE Monday Night Raw telecast drew 2.6 million combined Facebook, Twitter and Instagram interactions during the week of Jan. 14 to Jan. 20, according to Nielsen’s weekly Social Content Ratings report. The WWE’s Jan. 15 SmackDown! episode finished second for the week with 1.4 million interactions.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent was third with 1.2 million interactions, followed by The CW’s Riverdale and NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, according to Nielsen.

Sunday’s two NFL Championship playoff telecasts dominated social media chatter for live sports events during the week. CBS’s New England Patriots-Kansas City Chiefs AFC championship game garnered a whopping 10 million social media interactions, while Fox’s Los Angeles Rams-New Orleans Saints game pulled in some 7.1 million Facebook, Instagram and Twitter interactions, according to Nielsen. 

BET’s annual Black Girls Rock! special was the most talked about television show on social media Tuesday, according to Nielsen.

The special, which honors the accomplishments of black female entertainers, philanthropists and business leaders, drew 424,000 Twitter and Facebook interactions from 263,000 unique users, according to Nielsen’s daily social content ratings.

USA Network’s WWE SmackDown was second, followed by NBC’s America’s Got Talent, CNN’s CNN Tonight With Don Lemon and MTV’s The Challenge.

MLB Network’s live coverage of the Chicago Cubs-Cincinnati Reds game drew the most social media traffic for a live sports event on Tuesday, according to Nielsen.

Social media was buzzing Tuesday about two OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network shows as part of a strong night for cable programming.

OWN’s The Have and The Have Nots drew 344,000 Twitter and Facebook interactions from 163,000 unique social media accounts to lead all television programs airing on Sept. 6, according to the Nielsen Social daily rankings.

OWN’s premiere of the Winfrey/Ava DuVernay-produced drama series Queen Sugar was second with 209,000 interactions from 105,000 unique accounts, according to Nielsen. FX’s Atlantacomedy series premiere was third, followed by USA Network’s WWE series SmackDown! and NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Univision Deportes’ FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifying match between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago was the most social live sports show of the day, according to Nielsen.

Episodes from Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars and MTV’s Scream generated the most tweets of any television show yesterday, according to Nielsen.

Liars garnered 65,000 tweets from 19,000 unique Twitter authors, while 6,000 Twitter users posted 34,000 tweets about Scream Tuesday night, according to Nielsen’s daily Twitter TV ratings.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent, OWN’s The Have and the Have Nots and POP’s iMPACT Wrestling rounded out the top five most tweeted shows on Tuesday.
