                                <p>HBO will take its 24/7 sports documentary franchise to the football field in October when it debuts <em>24/7 College Football,</em> the network announced Wednesday.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="bzR46grDKftF34wPV4J7FQ" name="" alt="Florida Gators " src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bzR46grDKftF34wPV4J7FQ.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/bzR46grDKftF34wPV4J7FQ.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class="pull-"><span class="caption-text">Florida Gators  </span></figcaption></figure><p>The series, which debuts Oct. 2, chronicles college football teams Florida, Penn State, Arizona State and Washington State in-season as they meet the demands and challenges leading up to and through game day, according to HBO.</p><p>The series, narrated by actor Liev Schreiber, will run over four weeks, with each week exclusively focusing on one of the teams.</p><p>“For many years, we have been enamored with the storylines and unrivaled traditions of college football, and we’re excited for the opportunity to expand the 24/7 franchise into the realm of college sports,” said Rick Bernstein, executive producer for HBO Sports in a statement. “Viewers will feel the tremendous electricity of some of the best atmospheres in the country, and see the meticulous preparation and challenges facing these programs in the build-up to game day and during the game action. We are excited for the challenge of delivering a four-part series of four different college programs over a four-week period with the production values and storytelling associated with our 24/7 franchise.”</p><p>Heading up the production team for HBO Sports is vice president & senior producer Bentley Weiner, who has overseen the boxing, hockey, golf, and NASCAR installments of the 24/7 franchise, who said that the college football angle represents an "exciting new chapter for 24/7."</p>

The second episode will air Thursday, June 5 from 8:30 - 9:00 p.m., with the fight to follow two days later. </p><p>“Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez are barreling toward the most-anticipated fight of 2014, and their backstories will make for great storytelling in this all-new edition of <em>24/7</em>. This is an intense showdown made even larger by the backdrop of New York and Madison Square Garden playing host to the event,” said Rick Bernstein, executive producer, HBO Sports. </p><p>The series will also be presented in Spanish on HBO Latino. Cotto hails from Caguas, Puerto Rico, and Sergio Martinez is from Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cotto has appeared in three previous <em>24/7</em> installments.</p>
